CJUS 4130 - Ethical Dilemmas in Criminology and Criminal Justice Credit Hours: (3) Description: Legal, moral, and social implications of ethical dilemmas in criminal justice, including police use of deadly force, police discretion, victimless crimes, surveillance, enforcement of unpopular laws, use of informers, plea bargaining, judicial discretion, and capital punishment; subcultural norms and dilemmas they present to criminal justice practitioners. PREREQUISITE: CJUS 1100 , either CJUS 2226 or CJUS 2326 or CJUS 2426.
