Description: Detailed study of Russia/Soviet Union from the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution to its dissolution in 1991 and beyond. Major themes include the evolution of Soviet Communism, Soviet nationalities policies, Stalinism, World War II, Cold War, the fall of the USSR, and contemporary Russia, including an analysis of Putin’s regime.
