Description: Explores the basic techniques and concepts of the recording studio; signal flow, microphones and microphone placement, digital recording process, editing tracks, mixing and mastering, MIDI, loop creation and editing, studio problem solving, building studio projects. It also explores current trends in the entertainment industry, including internet, radio, television, and film, and additionally, how it affects our modern society. NOTE: this course does not fulfill the requirements for the Music Industry major (B.M.) or the Music Business or Recording Technology concentrations.
