AVIA 2101 - Instrument/Commercial Flight Lab

Description: This course will cover flight instruments, FAA regulation, air traffic control procedures, radio navigation and aircraft operation and performance as applied to the practical aspects of instrument flying. At the end of this course the student should be proficient in instrument procedures such as holding patterns, instrument approaches and IMC (Instrument Meteorological Conditions) enroute navigation. Three instrument cross-country flights and review will prepare the student to attain the proficiency level of an instrument-rated pilot and successfully complete the Instrument Rating Flight check in the appropriate aircraft. Students must be a Commercial Aviation major to register. . Flight fees are associated with this course.
