BIOL 4004 - Readings in Modern Biology Credit Hours: (2) Description: Reading and critically evaluating scientific literature, and communicating scientifically. Original research articles on cutting edge topics will be analyzed in depth. Focus on major advances in cell and molecular biology and issues that arise as a result of those advances. Topics may include gene editing, new cancer therapies, antibiotic resistance, and the role of the microbiome in human health. Two lecture hours per week. na PREREQUISITE: BIOL 3130 or permission of instructor.
