Description: Types of galaxies, galaxy mergers, supermassive black holes, unification models of active galactic nuclei, quasars and galaxy clustering. Hubble law, expansion of the universe, dark matter and dark energy, cosmic microwave background and observational constraints on the Big Bang. Fee none PREREQUISITE: PHYS 3050
